Getting bookings in
Forward the confirmation email. Your personal forwarding address is on the home page. Forward any flight, hotel, car, train or activity confirmation to it, from any email account. Tripperoo reads it, usually within a minute, and adds it to the right trip, starting a new trip when the dates don’t fit an existing one.
Forward automatically. You can set a rule in your email app to forward bookings to your Tripperoo address. A rule won’t catch every booking, so check your trips are complete. If Gmail asks to confirm the address, the confirmation shows in Settings.
Upload a PDF from the home page for tickets and vouchers that came as files rather than emails.
Add something by hand: a booking with Add a booking on a trip’s Itinerary tab, a plan with Add to this day on its Day Plan tab, or an idea with Add to wishlist. New trip on the home page starts a trip before anything is booked.
When an email isn’t recognized
Emails Tripperoo couldn’t turn into a booking go to Unfiled, which appears in the top bar when there’s something in it. From there you can move an email into a trip or dismiss it. If a booking you expected is missing, forward the email again or add it by hand, and tell us which company sent it so we can teach Tripperoo to read it.
Fair-use limits
Tripperoo is free, with limits a normal traveler won’t reach: 20 forwarded emails a day and 300 in 30 days, and 20 PDF uploads in 30 days, each up to 10 MB. Past a limit, forwarded emails are still kept and appear in Unfiled with a note, so nothing is lost.
Fixing a wrong detail
Tripperoo reads emails automatically and can get things wrong. Open the booking’s menu (···) and choose Edit to change any field. Always check times and dates against the airline or hotel before you travel.
Merging and splitting trips
- Merge: on the home page, choose Merge trips and pick the two trips that belong together.
- Split: on a trip page, open the trip menu (··· Trip), choose Split this trip, and pick the bookings to move into a new trip.
Sharing a trip
On a trip page, open Travelers, add someone, then choose Copy invite link from their menu and send it to them. Once they sign in through the link they can see the trip’s itinerary, day plans and expenses. Set them to Can edit to let them change bookings, plans and expenses too; only you can share, merge, split or delete the trip.
Your calendar
In Settings, the calendar feed gives you a private link that keeps all your trips in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook, updating as bookings change. Anyone with the link can see your itinerary, so if it leaks, regenerate it there.
Your data
- Export: download everything tied to your account from Settings.
- Delete your account: also in Settings. Everything is permanently removed after a 7-day grace period.
- Forwarded emails are deleted after 60 days. See the Privacy Policy for the rest.
